Our Story

Kara Holt, a resident of Strawberry, AZ, founded Arizona Land and Home Services, Inc., a concierge project management company service was created to act as a liaison between land and homeowners and local businesses which provide services to those property owners. The current emphasis is on “firewise” projects, home improvement services/projects, safety and security. Some of these services include coordination of estimates, project scheduling/tracking, and land/homeowner to business communication and customer service. AZFIREWISE.com was created for those who own property in Arizona’s high risk rural areas to submit inquiry forms to receive free information and/or estimates for services related to wildfire fuel mitigation (creating fire free defensible space around homes), home fire prevention/safety, education seminars, workshops and volunteer opportunities.

The services offered through AZ FIREWISE are designed to coordinate with local Fire Districts, emergency management agencies, law enforcement and local non-profit organizations which serve their local communities.

AZ FIREWISE.com was created to make it affordable, simple and streamline to create a “Fire Free Defensible Space”. We are working with local businesses and non-profits to offer FREE DEFENSIBLE SPACE EVALUATIONS AND ESTIMATES. We want to make it easy for homeowners to do their part in reducing risk of damage to their properties, help protect their communities (and fire fighters) and preserve valuable resources related to wildfires.

Ms. Holt, having volunteered for multiple fire and emergency relief efforts over the last 15 years (and experiencing the devastation and collateral damage due to a house fire herself) understands:  “An Ounce of Preventions is Worth a Pound of Cure”.
